Fender Banjo FB54

THIS BANJO HAS NOW BEEN SOLD!

Thanks to Joe for offering it a good home. Good luck learning how to play!

Who doesn’t love a bit of bluegrass…

Background

Here’s a beautiful Fender banjo with some very attractive inlays on the neck and head. My old band and I put some money together and we bought this specifically for a particular song we had. It worked great but other than that it never really got much use. I sort of assumed that, since I play the guitar, I’d be able to figure out the banjo. Well, I realised it would actually require a fair bit of time and effort to learn the banjo properly because of the different tuning and the special picking patterns so it ended up not being used very much lately. Time for it to go so I can fulfil my dream.

I’m pretty sure this is a FB54 but, I deduced that mainly through googling. There is no model number written on the banjo but there is something printed on the head. Unfortunately googling it doesn’t bring up any results…

Either way, it feels like a good instrument and seems like it’s built well. The extra attention to detail on the inlays and the Fender name both show this is not a budget instrument.

Condition

It’s used but it’s not in bad shape. When I bought the banjo it (for some reason) came without the tuning head on the high G string so I put one on. It works perfectly well, but it’s not the original (in case that bothers you).

Shipping and Payment

Here’s a general blurp about shipping etc. I picked up some sturdy guitar-shaped cardboard boxes from a local music store and I’m happy to ship the the banjo via courier if you pay via PayPal. Ideally though you should come have a look at the guitar in W6, Hammersmith, London.

I’m looking for around £179 for this baby, which I think is a reasonable estimate. THIS BANJO HAS NOW BEEN SOLD!

Get in touch if you have any questions and take a look at all the other cool stuff I’m selling in an effort to save up for something special!
