You want some kick-ass in box? Well, here it is! I just hope you (and your neighbours) can handle it…
Background
This here is a Marshall JCM 900 (100W Hi Gain Master Volume MKIII). Model 2101.
What can I really say other than this is a bad-ass amp. When you’re in a rehearsal room or at a gig and you crank this baby up to 6 or 7 you get a dose of raw rock delivered straight into your eardrums. The Marshall sound is just incredible; dirty yet warm and powerful without being muddy. And at 100W it’s loud and proud. I’ve never ever ever had to use it above 7 or 8. Turning this up to 10 is just crazy.
This amp was, surprisingly, the first amp I ever owned. I started playing acoustic guitar when I was about 10. For my 13th birthday my parents went down to the local guitar dealer, who happened to be somewhat of a metal-head, and surprised me with this amp along with a Jackson guitar. For years this was my sound. Every band I played in, every song I recorded was with this combo – and it was just great.
Why am I selling it now you ask? Well, let me be honest here. The amp does really sound great but it does have one weakness: versatility. You can get thumping metal sounds, screaming lead sounds or a timeless classic rock sound but when it comes to wanting a nice clean channel it’s not fantastic. These days I rarely (if ever) gig and most of the time I play blues in my bedroom. Hence I’d like to swap this for a nice vintage Fender amp with a lower wattage which matches my style these days a bit better. In an absolutely perfect world I’d keep both, allowing me to switch amps depending on what I’d play. I’d have a Marshall, a Fender, maybe even a Vox or an Orange, all in different wattages – but really, who has the money for that?

Shipping and Payment
Here’s a general blurp about shipping. This is a heavy, heavy amp so ideally you should come have a look at it in W6, Hammersmith, London. I can also also courier it if you pay via PayPal but you’d probably be looking at £30 or £40 for shipping – I can confirm the exact amount later.
I’m looking for around £499 for this amp and would be interested to hear from you if you have an offer near this ballpark.
